This could include how to use dental floss effectively and alternatives to using dental floss for those who find it particularly difficult and/or inconvenient to use. The dental hygiene appointments can also work in conjunction with your dentists appointments to get the best results from your dental treatment.
During your dental hygiene appointment our hygienists will discuss and advise you on:
- Effective tooth brushing and flossing.
- Prevention of gum diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis.
- Prevention of unpleasant tastes and bad breath.
- How certain gum diseases can affect or complicate other health problems e.g. heart disease.
The dentists at Pendragon Health, London recommend that you have your dental hygiene appointment as recommended; this is usually on average every three to six months.
Dental Hygiene appointments are available with Pendragon Health, London to patients who have had a check up with a dentist within the twelve month period before the hygiene appointment is booked. If you are not a registered patient with Pendragon Health, London, and have had your check-up with another dental practice, our hygienist will require a referral document to be completed and returned by your dentist prior to booking your dental hygiene appointment.
