Ear Syringing

We offer safe ear syringing for wax build-up - a process usually referred to as ear irrigation.

Earwax, also known by the medical term cerumen, is a yellowish waxy substance secreted in the ear canal of humans and other mammals. It protects the skin of the human ear canal, assists in cleaning and lubrication, and also provides some protection from bacteria, fungi, insects and water. Excess or impacted cerumen can press against the eardrum and/or occlude the external auditory canal and impair hearing. (Wikopedia)

If you are making an appointment for this with Pendragon Health, then please start using a few drops of warmed olive oil in the affected ear(s), every night, usually for a week before syringing is to take place. This will help loosen the wax and allow for easier removal.
